Shadows of the Past

In the darkness, where once stood the colossus, now shadows dance.
Like ancient ruins overgrown with weeds, empires fall to silence and dust.

The stories are old but the script is new—Cuba under threat, as it has been for decades; Iran’s players returning from battle, only to face another war of their own.

A system that surveils and controls can also be a tool for disruption and revolution. When the power figures seek recognition, they often wear a mask, hiding who they really are beneath an illusion of strength and righteousness.

Just as Gaza endures under blockade during its most sacred month, so too do other lands feel the weight of occupation and surveillance, their people clinging to survival by any means necessary.
The echoes of my own displaced past linger like static on a faulty line. History repeats itself; displacement is but another chapter in this endless book.

Amidst all this, one must remember:إن الأمل كالشمس، يشرق كل يوم جديد, hope is like the sun, it rises each new day.
