The Echoes of Silence

The latest figures paint a grim picture for Lebanon, with more than a million displaced in the chaos. Amidst this upheaval, there's an eerie parallel to my own family's history during the Gulf War. Displacement is like a shadow that follows those who dwell too close to empires' footsteps.

But displacement also has its resistance. It can be seen as a form of movement—forced and painful, yes, but also a dance away from control. And so, amidst the chaos, families adapt, survive, and find ways to thrive in spite of their oppressors.
